Race nights cater for swimmers of all ages & abilities. Race nights are held each Friday night commencing at 7:00 pm, throughout both the summer and winter seasons, each lasting between 16 - 18 weeks. Entries close 6:45 pm to allow race sheets to be printed.
Each club race night consists of 3 events, the first of which is a Freestyle event followed by 2 events involving the form-strokes (Breaststroke, Butterfly, Backstroke or Individual Medley). Points are allocated for each swim based on a comparison with the swimmer's individual best time. The club night program is shown in the 'Race Nights Program' page.
Swimmers are graded according to their abilities. Grading times are shown below but are a guide only as we consider a swimmer's ability, both physically & emotionally before promoting or demoting a swimmer from one grade to another. Regrading occurs nominally every 4 weeks.
Club Championships are held at the end of each summer and winter season to determine the best club swimmer & the best swimmer in each age group - boys & girls.
To be eligible to swim in the championships, a swimmer must be a 'first claim' member and have recorded at least 9 Freestyle swims and at least 2 swims in Breaststroke, Butterfly & Backstroke and 1 swim in an Individual Medley event.
